On Friday May 14, Lakelands Primary School participated in the National Walk Safely to School Day. We advertised the event in our school newsletter and on our school Facebook page to let our families know the importance of learning the road rules to help us walk safely, to encourage a healthy lifestyle by exercising regularly and to reduce pollution and traffic congestion by using our cars less. We also sent out a Seesaw announcement to all parents to remind them of these important messages. All of the children received a Walk Safely to School tattoo and a raffle ticket. We drew out the names of 3 students who participated to receive a prize. It was fantastic to see so many families and friends walking together to school. Well done Lakelands!
