Winter Walk to School Week

In week 3 it was Winter Walk to School Week. We encouraged students to get their gumboots and umbrellas out, brave the weather and walk to school. To do this we held a class competition tallying how many students walked on Friday from each class. The winning class won additional sport equipment for their classroom sport kits. The winners were a Year 5 class. The faction captains did a great job writing and delivering a speech, tallying students and delivering the prizes.

"There's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing" comes to mind! ☂🌦Well done to you Erika, all the active travellers and Year 5 class for winning! You have earned 40 points for participating in an active travel event and 10 points for your story detail. Did the students do a speech during an assembly?
