Walk/Ride to School Day

On the 19th of March 2021, Mindarie Primary School participated in a walk/ ride to school day. The morning was a huge success with over 450 students, families and staff getting active and walking to school from one of our four safe checkpoints. The data collected on the day showed that over 50 percent of the school community participated with all years levels being represented. This event helped in not only getting active but helped ease traffic around the school community. We are looking forward to another walk/ride to school day next term with hopefully an even bigger turn out. Attached below is the write up from our Mindarie Primary School newsletter.

Hi Keryn. Your R2SD looks like a huge success - 450 participants and at least 450 smiles (I'm sure the pooch is smiling too)! You have earned 40 points for your event, 22 for posting an article in the school newsletter, 25 points for running Park & Walks especially for the event, and a few bonuses - 10 points for giving us all the details (including the newsletter link) and another 10 for sharing your participation rate. See you soon!
