Albany punches well above its weight in terms of schools participating in Your Move, and to keep that momentum going, we now have an Albany Your Move schools network.
This has come about as an unintended (but positive) consequence of hosting a remote site for the Your Move schools forum earlier this year, where the schools who attended found it really helpful to have the opportunity to share experiences and all the various ups and downs involved in promoting active transport!
The network is an informal affair - a once a term catch up for coffee, and email/phone contact in between if needed. So far, we have 4 schools involved (Great Southern Grammar, St Josephs College, Albany Primary School and Mount Lockyer Primary School) and look forward to welcoming any other schools to join us, no matter where they are on their Your Move journey.

This is a great initiative Andrea. It is always so much more motivating and fulfilling to share your experiences, successes and challenges with others on the same path as you. Well done for kicking this off. I've given you 25 points for initiating the network, plus 10 points for letting us know how it all works. Make sure you send in updates on how it is all going!

This is a fabulous initiative. Always great to know their are others on the same or similar journey as you are and the results speak from themselves as the City of Albany schools are having great success. YM Schools in the City of Rockingham also meet quarterly to discuss ideas and share resources and these schools also clearly benefit from the support as they are rocking it in the YM program too! If your school is keen to connect with other local schools give a shout out to the schools team.
