Travel Plan and next steps

MU's Perth campus travel plan was finalised earlier this year. Thanks to the new Staff Wellbeing@Murdoch committee, the Travel Plan will get a 'soft' launch as part of our 'Steptember' activities.

Data collected as part of the Travel Plan revealed that many MU staff and students live within a 5-10km radius of campus- perfect for encouraging them to walk or cycle at least 1 day a week to campus.

The Steptember working group will be planning incentives and prizes to staff (in particular) who set a simple active transport goal and achieve it during September. This will help advance our Travel Plan through normalising active travel behaviour, increasing visibility while increasing staff wellbeing.

I've attached our Action Plan so you can see what we're aiming for and happy to answer questions.

That is a huge step Leah 😄! I have linked your story to the activity "Make a travel plan", which gives you a big 100 points, plus 10 points for the details in your story and 20 points for attaching your action plan. Great to see so many low cost, but effective, actions in the plan. It looks like you are going to be busy 😊! If/when you identify specific Your Move activities that link into the plan you could link a story to the "Identify activity option" activity in your next story!

Thanks for sharing Leah, lots of good actions in Murdoch's travel plan. It would be great to hear as key actions are implemented.
