Weekly Walk to School Day

This term, we have been working on promoting weekly active travel days to encourage our community to keep fit and enjoy the lovely cool weather.

Some students are lucky enough to live along one of our walk to school routes that were mapped by the DoT last year (thanks, DoT!). We were even fortunate to receive a whole set of map brochures that are part of our new student welcome pack.

Our student leaders are ready to greet arriving students as they park their scooters and bikes by the breakfast bowl. It is great to see students taking responsibility for keeping the space tidy.

Mrs Bateman's class collected data on the amount of students in their class that walked or rode to school. They used this data to create a bar graph during their morning meeting.

As we reach the end of Term 2, we will be challenging our mathematicians to help us complete another whole school survey. Hopefully, we will be well on our way to beating our previous record...
