Getting ready for NWS2SD!

Next Friday 11th of September is National Walk Safely to School Day. To celebrate, Noranda PS are encouraging families to walk, ride or scoot to and from school on this day.

The student team announced the event day at the assembly last week, the first time the students have presented to the school at assembly as a whole road safety group, and in this weeks newsletter the principal and the group had notices to all to get involved! This will be the first event the school has run to encourage active travel since Ride to School Day so the student group are excited to meet and greet everyone who makes the journey to school by foot or bike or scooter. The student group will be sure to provide an update on how the event goes after next Friday.

The NPS P&C Road Safety Sub Committee are also using the event as an opportunity to remind families of the great Park n Walk space that adjoins the school. Stay tuned for more updates on the improved connection from the Park n Walk space to the school grounds to be announced soon!
