End-of-Year Wrap

To wrap up the year, the Your Move team organised RAC Little Legends incursions for the students with a focus on risky behaviours, passenger safety & bike safety. We held our final Hands-Up survey for the year & the results were discussed in the final team meeting for the year. There is still room for improvement & it seems airconditioned cars beat walking in 30+ degree heat some days! However, our Walking School Bus continues to operate rain, hail or shine with the support of our fabulous P&C. Our students collectively completed the "Take the Challenge - Bibbulmun Track with over 1003 kilometres walked to school during Semester Two. And our Year 5/6 class walked to their end-of-year BBQ instead of taking a bus, saving carbon emissions. A new Your Move team was appointed for 2021 and looks forward to continuing the great work from 2020.

Hi Virginia - what a great year! And it is wonderful to see how much YM has grown in North Morley since joining just over 2 years ago. This year you have doubled the number of stories posted, and earned more than double the points compared to 2019. Well done to the whole team! Great to hear the WSB is going strong (90 points for term 4) and your new team is raring to go (60 points). Your reflection itself has earned 15 points, plus I have given you 30 points for the Banner Design Competition (mentioned in the previous story, but not yet scored). Your Little Legends incursion earned 40 points and your term 4 team meeting another 10! Phew! But wait there's more! For setting a great example and walking to the end of year BBQ, your year 5/6s have earned another 25 points. I have to go and catch my breath now.... have a great break and see you in 2021!
