New Team at OPS for 2021

The new Year 4 Your Move team at Osborne Primary has some big shoes to fill. Last year's group were fantastic and I'm sure this group will come up with some great ideas as well. The first item on our agenda was to come up with regular ways to remind the whole school about FFFF or Fitness For Fun Friday. We have a new sign at the front of the school, regular PA notices each Thursday and a text message via Outreach to parents every Friday morning, about Active travel when coming to school.

Here, the team decided to write an Outreach text message to send to families encouraging them to join up to the Your Move program at home. This way Osborne could be in the running for some great prizes, as well as move up the leader board in the school competition.

The Yr 2 - 6s are participating in bike education lessons over 4 weeks this term which we hope will help encourage more pedal power, when coming to school as well. The team will looks at ways to encourage kids to scooter or cycle on National Ride2School Day, on Friday 19th March.

Hi Ruth - it seems it is all happening at OPS! Great to hear that your new team has launched back into it. We gave you 60 points when they first started in Dec, so unfortunately we can't do that again just yet. But you have earned 80 points for having a regular active travel day, as well as 20 points for sharing all the details of your promotion and YM Stirling involvement!
