Phoenix PS - National Walk to School Day!

Christie Read

We had a total of 101 students walking or riding to school on National Walk to School day. As a relatively small school, this is an incredible effort! Thank you to all of the year 5 students who volunteered to stand at each gate recording data, handing out stickers, writing notes for our class blog or taking photos. We appreciate the extra effort that students and their family members made, to join in with this important event.

We were able to advertise the day in our school newsletter, on our Connect and Facebook pages as well as posters created by our year 5 students. Watch this space for the winners of our 'raffle', which will each score some incredible prize packs supplied by Your Move!

We would also like to congratulate the Kindy classes for supporting National Walk to School day this year and for the extra effort made by their teachers for organising a very successful day.
