National Ride2School Day at Rostrata

WELL DONE and THANK YOU to those students and their families who walked, rode or scooted to school on National Ride2School Day.

Did you know almost half of our school ditched the car for the day and either walked, rode or scooted to school!

We had siblings in prams, dogs, mums, dads, grandparents and carers accompany our students on this great day.

We gave out 404 raffle tickets to students who took part and you can flick through the photos to see who the winners from each year group were. Thanks to our commitment to the ‘Your Move’ program, where we encourage you to choose other ways to get to school, every day of the school year, we had some fabulous prize packs for our winners.

Did you know, students who get active on the way to school contribute to their minimum physical activity level of 60 minutes per day. Research also says, they are also more focused and ready to learn compared to those who are driven to school.

Hi Samantha - thanks for sharing the grand success of your R2SD event at Rostrata. 404 students and 50% participation are some significant results - you must be very happy with that. Great to see too that you got a story in the school newsletter on the day. You have earned 40 points for your event, 10 points for sharing your participation figures and another 10 points for giving us a great read. See you soon!
