Advanced Cycle Club in the Scotch Junior School

I can't cycle to school by myself yet, because I have to cross Stirling Highway. So I like Advanced Cycle Club because it gets me in the mood for the afternoon. We get to ride through intersections and crossings and roads. My teacher said that I am getting better at checking over my shoulder.

Hi Carolyn and Jack! I'm glad to hear that Jack is getting a lot out of the Advanced Cycle Club. Could you explain a little bit what the club is? It is organised by the school? When and how often does it happen? Who is involved? So many questions 😊!

Bonjour! I'm MAdame Vinton and I run the Advanced Cycle Club in the Junior School. We have Anna from People on Bicycles, who comes every Monday afternoon to cycle around our local area with us and help the boys to understand road safety, the right places to cross roads, how to approach intersections safely and how to ride in a group. The club has been very popular with those boys that attend, but unfortunately, announcement of the lego club and an extension club meant we lost quite a few members

Salut Madame Vinton 😊! Thanks for the extra details. That sounds like an excellent way for the boys to start their school week. Great to hear that they love it too, even if a few have (temporarily, I'm sure 😉) been distracted by Lego! You have earned 80 points for these Bike Ed sessions with Anna.
