In my haste to get the story out about St Augustine's NR2SD I missed a very important piece of news! One of our Yr 4 students rode all the way from Kalamunda to Rivervale to get to school on National Ride 2 School Day. I heard that he and his Dad had to leave home at 5:30 (when it was still dark!) to make the journey. Fantastic effort!!!
We also found out who our mystery Helmet donor was. Crawford from the City of Belmont was kind enough to donate the 2 helmets from the City's own prize pool for out students. Thanks Crawford!!
Also, our NR2SD was such a whole school success that it featured on the school Facebook and Instagram pages, along with a message reminding the community of the link between active travel and health and wellbeing.
