Bike, Scooter, Skate and Shoe Fancy Dress Parade

For our National Ride to School Day festivities, our student team encouraged their peers to dress up their bikes, scooters, skates, skateboards or shoes. Anyone who came to school with their decorated active travel device, was given a raffle ticket entry to win prizes from the Your Move rewards shop. We also celebrated the students who put true effort into their creations with a class by class a parade in front of the whole school during our National Ride to School Day carnival.

Our Assistant Principal, Ms Peake, had the parade running like a well oiled machine with a clear run sheet for staff to follow. This communication helped everyone know exactly what to expect and what they needed to do. It was just as well that the show ran smoothly as we had such a lot of dressed up active travel devices to get through.

Pre-primary had great participation considering this is their first active travel event. They proudly showed their work to the 'big kids'.

Year 1 almost had the entire class in the parade!

Our Principal, Ms Colignio, addressed the whole school praising them for their efforts. She said that she felt very proud of everybody in the school community - students, staff, parents and friends - for their engagement and enthusiastic participation in the festivities of the day.
