St Augustine’s Your Move program was featured at the Catholic School Parents of WA’s awards night.
After receiving a nomination for an Award of Excellence Parent category for my involvement with Your Move in building a positive school community, I was invited to attend a dinner at the Rose and Crown in Guildford. All parents and staff from St As were invited to join the celebration with the P&F covering the cost of the tickets.
The event itself was a great opportunity to network with other parents, staff and P&F representatives about the importance of active travel and some of the exciting plans coming up.
The competition was pretty tough and unfortunately I didn't win the award, but I was humbled to hear the kinds words of the speaker who read my nomination. I hope that those words may have planted a seed with some of the other passionate school representatives in attendance who are looking to start or continue their school’s your move journey.

Well done in getting the nomination Lindi - it surely is well deserved! You are correct in that it is a wonderful opportunity to network on the active travel front and to spread the word about the program - and so you have earned 30 points for doing so as well as 10 points for sharing all the details about the awards night.
