National Walk Safely To School Day 2021

On the Friday the 14th of May St Augustine Primary School participated in National Walk Safely to School Day. As with so many of our events, the City of Belmont were more than happy to provide our students with a free breakfast to encourage and celebrate active travel in our school community. We printed posters from the walk.com.au website to promote the day prior to the event.

The YourMove Team was at the front gate celebrating each active traveller with stickers and providing food to the students who had worked up an appetite getting to school.

It was great to see so many students using active travel, and so many parents making the most of their opportunity to get some fresh air after lock down (which provided some the opportunity to remove their face masks to feel the breeze on their faces once again).

Each active traveller was entered into a raffle and rewarded with items from the your move rewards shop.

Hi again Lindi! St A's have certainly been quietly beavering away during the year 😉! Great to hear that families really embraced your NWS2SD event - it has earned you 40 points plus 10 for sharing the details.
