On Thursday 27th May St Kieran Primary School participated in our second Hands Up Survey for 2021. Natasha Koekemoer who assisted us with the stencil activity visited the school and helped conduct the survey. We surveyed 387 students on this day. Some students were unable to participate as they were away at an Interschool Carnival. When we compare our results we found that there was an increase in walking to school that day, even though the weather was cooler as we head into winter. We still have a high population coming to school by car but we are starting to see some small behavioural changes. As we move into semester two we will be introducing some new initiatives to get students and families thinking about different ways to get to and from school.
