Little activities in the library

I spend lunch time in the library on a Friday and I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to conduct a small activity with whatever children decided to play in the library that day.

I printed off 2 different activties from a teacher resource website called Twinkl. I chose a 'word search' and a 'spot the difference' activity based on bike safety. This gave the students a choice - some of them wanted to both the activities. It was a great success and they learnt some new tips on how to be safe when riding a bike to school. We talked about how important it is to wear a helmet and make sure that you look both ways when crossing a road.

The students were very proud of their work. This activity was quick and easy to organise and a fun way to educate the students on bike safety. I will definitely be doing more of this during my lunch time library duty :)

I have also attached a pdf of the spot the difference activity, for others to use :) It would not let me upload both activites but I thought it is much easier to make your own word search than it is a spot the difference so I added the spot the difference!

Nice one Brianna - I love the top hat vs helmet in the "spot the difference" 😆. You have earned 15 points for your library road safety activity, plus 10 points for sharing all the details and another 10 for taking the time to upload the sheet. I look forward to hearing what you get up to in your next library slot!
