Swan View Reports an Increase in students catching public transport to schoolto school

Vanya Thomas
Swan View Primary School

Our most recent Hands Up Survey for August has shown an increase in the number of students catching Public Transport to school. From May to August we have recorded a 173% increase in the use of bus transport to and from school. This increase can be attributed to winter weather and families foregoing walking for the bus. With the weather beginning to improve Swan View PS will be encouraging families and students to walk to school and enjoy the Spring sunshine!

Thanks for sharing your reflections on your recent HUS. On top of the 20 points you automatically earnt after uploading the results, you have today earned 10 points for your reflections. Interesting that is seems that AT users have shifted from walking to bus - it is a big win if they have mostly done that rather than driving when it gets a bit wet - well done everyone 😊.
