Finally we are getting better data from our Hands Up survey! With the teacher relief money, we got in a relief teacher to go to every class on the day, over the first 3 periods. I had worked out when each year level was doing maths, English or HASS and what rooms they were in. I had the sheets ready, the year levels being surveyed for each period, e.g. period 1 was year 7 and 9, period 2 was year 8 and 10 and period 3 was the year 11 and 12 students, and the rooms they were in.

This worked very smoothly and we only missed one senior class. I will certainly do it this way again at the end of the year.

I am now working with a year 8 maths class to enter the data and graph it and look at the year levels. We tried to do it on Thursday but the website was playing up. Maybe because you have so many schools on board now!!!
