It was with much excitement that we started the term with our new bike shelter and then even more excitement for the opening of the Bike Shelter on Friday. We held the Official Opening on our Ride2School day so we could have one big celebration.

We had very speical guests, Mr Chris Tallentire MP and Ms Katy Sullivan from the Department of Transport. Katy cut the ribbon for us after our Principal, Mrs McDonald said a few words. We were very blessed to get a $15,000 grant from the Your Move program and the Department of Transport and the school then topped up the remaining $7000 so we could cover the whole bike compound.Mr Chris Tallentire MP also said a few words of encouragement to the students about the value of riding to school. We do have a video but unfortunately I am unable to load it to the Your Move website.

Once the official proceedings of cutting the ribbon we adjorned to the conference room for the presentation of prizes to the winners of the Ride2School day raffle by Mr Chris Tallentire MP and to share in a delicious morning tea.

It was a very exciting day.
