It was with much anticipation that I drove up to school yesterday, turn the corner and I could see the bike shelter in the process of being constructed! So exciting.

What with delays with materials, Covid and staffing, we were beginning to fear that we would never get the new bike shelter.

If you look carefully, in the top right hand corner you will see a orange cone. I did comment to one of the workmen that it was a shame that they had not removed it before they put the roof on! The response, "oh, yeah...".

When I checked a little later, the cone was gone. I suspect that the Business Manager had something to do with this but I hope that it was my gentle comment!

Here it is completed.

We have realised that it is a little dark in the compound now so school is investigating some sensor lighting. I am going to ask about a camera as well to make the compound even more secure.

Here are the first lot of bikes and scooters under cover. We have 50 bikes and scooters today, not bad considering it is the first day of school, rain is forecasted and students did not know the shelter was completed.
