Constable Care – Helping Our Kids Stay Safe In The Community!

A big shout out to The Department of Transport “Your Move” program that has once again enabled our Year 4 students to attend a fully-funded excursion to the Constable Care Safety School in Maylands. This has become an annual event for our Year 4 students and we hope to continue this in the future.

We have chosen the Year 4 cohort to participate in this event, as many of them will start walking or riding to school next year, without parent supervision. It is vital they have the knowledge and skills necessary to keep them safe as pedestrians and cyclists, prior to navigating the roads independently. The Constable Care Safety School is an excellent venue, enabling students to learn and practise the required skills.

Some of our Year 4s were a little apprehensive about cycling, however the bikes with training wheels gave these students the confidence to join in the action!

Thank you to the fabulous team at Constable Care for making the experience one to remember! The students had a great time and were excited to share their learning. Check out their posters below…
