At Warnbro Community High School we have had some concerns in regards to Road Safety around the school as we back on to a main road - Warnbro Sound Avenue.
During the start of Term 2, our Public Relations officer placed a full page list on Road Safety and correct ways to cross as safely as possible for students, whether it be riding or walking to school. We hope this created conversation within households with parents and their children to cross the road in a smarter manner.
Unfortunately for our students there is no access on Warnbro Sound Avenue to a lollipop crossing close to the school, only lights at the intersection. It may be an idea for us at WCHS to look at applying to have a crossing to make it safer for our students and our community.

Good initiative - and I think you are right in that it could be worth looking more into getting a crossing guard. Looking through your Bulletin, I also note that you had articles on World Bike Day, your regular active travel 'Wellbeing Wednesday', as well as a general promo of Your Move. Nice effort! You haven't yet posted a story on Wellbeing Weds - remember that could be worth 90+ points each term!
