National Walk Safely to School Day

On 19 May we encouraged families to walk safely to school. All of the Your Move members went to one of the three crossing zones around our school to meet students walking to school. We recorded their names and room number so we could keep track of the number of students who chose active transport on that day. We also gave the students a sticker and a prize. By Summer

Thank you Summer for the great story about the National Walk Safely to School Day. What a great idea to record the students' names and room numbers at the crossing as a way of collecting information about how many students chose to walk to school. I'm sure they all appreciated their stickers and prizes. We look forward to hearing more about the next event the Your Move Student Leaders organise at Warnbro Primary.
