NR2SD with a Difference.

NR2SD is on 24-3-23 but we held ours over 2 days with Decorate Your Wheels (24-2-23) & OUR NR2SD (22-3-23). This happened because our Principal was keen to get the "wheels moving" in February & on 24-3-23 we have our sports carnival! To make it more fun we also had a sausage sizzle for everyone who decorated their wheels. Dylan

We celebrated NR2SD a couple of days early because we have our sports carnival on the Friday so it would be very tricky. Instead we decided to use our Wheeling Wednesday as our NR2SD! Kelly

We encourage riding & scootering by promotional posters we design & by speaking about our events in our YM Report at assemblies. We give out raffle tickets on Wheeling Wednesdays to all our riders when they park their wheels in the bike & scooter racks. Brianna

Cycling & scootering is good because it keeps you fit & healthy and it is EASY! It keeps your blood pumping & moving, which is good for you. It is also a fun way to move around. You can also do cool tricks & maybe it will become a healthy hobby! Ruby

Some important behaviours when you cycling are:

  • always wear a helmet
  • maybe use knee pads if you are doing some daring tricks
  • ride at safe speeds near pedestrians & little children. Laghima

Mentor's note: Thank you Miss Wittber for "holding the fort" while I've been away. Team, you have done yourself very proud in how you have got on with all the tasks set in my absence. So proud of you. Thank you.

Ah, I see 👀 - sneaking in early on NR2SD - good idea, I think we are going to get flooded with stories tomorrow 😱! You have earned 40 points for your NR2SD event and 15 points for sharing all the news. I feel it could be time for a Wheeling Wednesday update soon (we haven't yet scored that for the term)- what do you all think ❓
