Ready to Ride.

One of our Bike Ed participants learnt a valuable lesson during the sessions, as did the rest of the group because our instructor turned the crash into a learning moment. Here is what Elkah wrote:

Last week I learnt that you always need to wear a helmet because I crashed on my bike & I was the example for the rest of the class. I had a big bump on my head (where my helmet didn't cover!) & little scratches on my knee. It did hurt alot but I am now back running & riding.

Mentor's note: A big Thank You to our Bike Ed instructor, Murray, who coached a diverse group. By the end of the course our little group was actually achieving above age level. Well done, Murray for coaching them to reach this and Bike Eders for achieving beyond!

Ouch! So glad Murray was able to turn the negative into a positive and that brave Elkah is back on the bike.

We were both pleased how quickly Elkah bounced back. Unfortunately during the last week of Bike Ed she was sidelined with an injury from soccer! So we turned another negative into a positive & as she sat watching the session Elkah wrote about the importance of helmets.
