Safety's THE Word.

Recently 4 classes attended the Constable Care Safety School in Maylands. Teachers & students alike saw great value in the excursion.

Charlotte wrote: On the 29th of October, Rooms 14 & 16 went to the Constable Care Safety School. We learned about how to be safe pedestrians & safe passengers (in cars.) We walked around with ipads to different spots to work out safe solutions to problems. Then we swapped with the other class & had fun riding bikes on the "road." We rode around so we could imagine being a driver of a car. The most important thing I learned was to be sure the car has fully stopped before you start to cross the road.

Above, out & active! Below, just waiting for the boom gate to be all the way up before proceeding.

Finally they say a picture is worth a thousand words....

Every time I read a story about the Constable Care Safety School site I am impressed - and it seems the teachers and kids at Warnbro were too. You earned 50 points for this activity plus a bonus 5 for sharing Charlotte's perspective as a student.

Thanks James. Yes we were also very impressed. I have just posted a story with excerpts from a couple of thank you letters the Team received as a result of our visits.
