On Friday, Wellard PS had a School Development Day and our YourMove team thought this was a great opportunity for another staff challenge!
CHALLENGE: Find a staff member to carpool to and from school with.
Our aim for this challenge was to connect staff with other teachers and EA's who live in the same area so that we can reduce the number of cars in our carpark.
Two of our Year 4 teachers already carpool every Thursday and two of our EA's carpool everyday. They love it because it gives them a chance to unwind after a busy day.
We managed to get 15 staff members carpooling to school and one staff member opting to walk instead of drive. How good!
We hope to see fewer cars in our staff carpark and maybe we could make this a tradition for School Development Days.

Great photos Bella, and a great challenge you have created! I have linked your story to the activity "Run an active travel challenge" which gives you 25 points - maybe you will do this each term for lots more points? When you feel you have a "carpool system" in place then you can be up for the big 60 points 😊.
