Since our first, very wet, Wellard Walkers 'n' Wheelers day, we have seen a huge improvement in the number of families that are choosing to walk and/or ride to school. Our carpark has been less congested and our students are very excited about our raffle drawing process.
Today at assembly, our YourMove leaders drew two raffles for students who had been walking and riding to school. We gave out three junior school prizes (Years 1-3) and three senior school prizes (Years 4-6). Each winner had to tell the school how they got to school. It was awesome to hear that some parents were choosing to 'Park and Walk'. The students were stoked with their prizes and are excited for future raffle draws.
We can't wait for our next raffle draw in Week 9!

This is brilliant news Bella! Thanks for sharing this update on the impact of your WWW days. I too love how you have done a 'vox populi' segment in your assembly - maybe the question could change slightly each time? For example, next time the winners might say 2 things they loved about their trip to school. You have earned 25 points for your YM assembly segment, plus 10 for sharing all the details.
