White Gum Valley Primary School celebrated National Ride2School Day this year with a difference. Due to COVID-19 restrictions we weren't able to mark the day with our usual whole-school healthy breakfast event. Instead, we had to come up with some socially-distanced ways to celebrate.

Students were encouraged to walk, ride bikes, scooter or skate to school, and to also wear colourful crazy socks, to participate in the event.

The Your Move Ambassadors visited each classroom to conduct a raffle for the students who rode or walked to school. Raffle prizes included Your Move slap bands, bike pumps, riding activity books and umbrellas - all which were very popular with the winners!

The event was promoted by in the school newsletter.

And one of the Your Move Ambassadors took some great photos of students' crazy socks!

It is good news that the WGV Your Move Ambassadors came up with a Covid friendly way of implementing NR2SD 😊. On top of the 40 points for the event itself you have earned 20 points for all the details of how you went about it and also for including the text of your second Your Move article in the Term 1 school newsletter. Have a fantastic week!
