2022 Team sorted

The 2021 Winterfold Your Move team was made entirely of Year 6 students. So this year I had to start from scratch creating a whole new team to train. Not wanting to face the same problem next year, I decided to take 4 students each from Year 4, 5 and 6. Easy right? Not so much.

Over the last few years, Your Move has developed a high profile at Winterfold so everyone wants to be part of the team. I had so many applications that it took a while to whittle it down and decided to take 5 from each year. It was especially difficult saying no to 3/4 of my own Year 4 class who had applied. However, they get to be honorary Your Movers!

Eventually, I was able to choose 5 from each year and scheduled our first meeting. I handed out the new YM Team handbooks to each member and we went through the pages. They have a place to write their personal information, ideas for the team, contributions, meeting notes and messages from the previous committee.

We discussed the upcoming Ride2School Day and a competition for later in the year, as well as our new bike shelter and accreditation sticker for our sign. We organised photos of these ready for our stories.

It was great getting to know my new team and I look forward to seeing what they will bring to YM over the year.
