Bike Month Grant is in!

Julia Calvert

Today, I got in early, ready with sustaining supplies, to get my Bike Month Grant application in.

We didn't apply last year but we have some great ideas for a school community event this year, so we thought we would throw our hat in the ring and try for a small grant.

The whole application process is online now which is great! Simple and easy to complete. I downloaded a PDF of the form yesterday to ensure I had all the information ready (like our ABN and insurance certificate) to complete today. Now we just have to sit back and wait to see if we are successful!

P.S. I did go through about 2 cups of tea but the chocolate wasn't opened until lunch time! :)

Nice work Julia - great to know too that you found the process relatively simple. How long would you say it took to complete? You have earned 15 points for using this planning time to do your application and 10 for sharing the details. (As this is a DoT grant we can only give you the points for the actual grant if and when the event goes ahead ☹️). Have a wonderful weekend!

Thanks James. I think it took about 15-20 mins once I had the info and sat down to do it. I guess I’ll have to write another story if (or hopefully when) it gets granted.

Thanks Julia - it is more about posting another story if/when it gets grant AND after you have done the event that it is funding 😊. Great to know that it didn't take too long infront of the PC.
