Not satisfied with one Your Move lesson this week, I threw in another one! We got out the iPads and used Google Maps to map our way to school and then draw maps.

The students quite enjoyed this task too, and seemed to be finding their way from a lot of strange, unrelated places before they actually found their own house. But it's all part of the learning.

They also worked out the distance to school and some realised that they could easily walk or ride, with a little effort. I am hoping that this will inspire them to start using fume friendly travel to school in the coming term.

Thanks for sharing how the "Mapping My Way to School" activity worked out for your class Julia. Great to hear of the students discovering the bike and walk modes in Google maps and the impact it had. You have earned 25 points for the activity plus 10 points for putting a smile on my face at the end of the working week 😍.
