Winterfold Primary's Business Plan is about to expire which means it's time to update. This also means it's time to update Operational Plans and thankfully Your Move has a special place in the Sustainability Operational Plan.
We had not long joined Your Move when our current plans were written - and this was before my time here – so now we have had a couple of years to explore, learn and use the program, I was eager to update and set some new targets.
Originally we had 3 bullet points. One of which was to get speed bumps installed outside the school. This was achieved as was other measures to slow traffic around the school.
We now have 5, one of which is to achieve Gold accreditation or better every year. Others were about recognising special days and booking incursions as well as having a student committee to work with. The best part was filling in the Resources and Budget sections. As all this comes from Your Move there is no burden on the school to provide anything. This is one of the things I love most about this program!

Brilliant Julia - embedding YM into school life (and policy) is such a fundamental aim of ours that I'm really surprised we don't have it as an activity yet! I have given you 25 points for doing this, plus another 20 for the 'outstanding' impact this should have on the sustainability of the YM program at Winterfold.
