In what has been a busy first term, it took me a little while to get my student team together. I put applications out and, as in other years, was inundated with too many applications! I was only going to accept 3 students from Years 4-6. However, as it was so popular, I decided to take on 4 instead. I met with my team of 12 students as soon as I had chosen them.
We discussed the expectations and responsibilities of being on the committee. We then looked at the website, our school profile and the reward shop. I updated students on the progress of last year’s grant – our shelter will be installed soon. We then had a brief discussion about what events we would do for the semester and made some plans for National Ride2School Day.
A couple of weeks later, we met again to finalise plans for Ride2School Day and allocate some jobs. We also discussed the shelter installation, organised incursions, the superboost coming up and our new accreditation sticker and new sign.

It must have been busy for Super Julia not to show her face on YM until late March 😉! Great to hear that the team is firing on all 8 cylinders. You have earned 60 points for organising the team and having their first meeting, another 10 points for the subsequent meeting this term and 10 points for sharing all the plans and outcomes.
