Floreat Ride to School Day

Mark Walters

Floreat Park Primary School’s Ride to School days are always very popular, with around 85% of students coming to school by non-motorised means. Term 1 was no exception and it was great to get everyone involved, coming to school by bike, walking, scooters and skate boards (one student even arrived on roller blades!).

The most amazing thing was seeing NO cars outside our school where there is usually a long traffic jam (see photo below). Instead, the bike racks were over flowing! It was so quiet, it felt like a really relaxed start to the day. Our teachers cooked us sausages on the BBQ to recognise our efforts. 89% of students came to school by non-motorised means!

Thanks for the update on your well attended R2SD - it looks like things were really buzzing, except for the cars! Great effort.
