Fun Run and Lap-a-thon

Paul O'Donnell
St Joseph's College

Recently St Joseph's College completed their annual fundraising 5km Fun Run and Lap-a-thon raising funds for the Wheelchairs for Kids project. Students choose whether they would particpate in the 5km around the local area or take part in the walking Lap-a-thon on the College oval.

There was some fantastic efforts from the 5km runners who gave it their all to perform to their best. Spirits were also high amongst the Lap-a-thoners many of whom got into the spirit of the afternoon by dressing up. There was live music and entertainment to keep everyones motivation high for the duration of the event.

Congratulations to the particpants and those who contributed to the cause with over $4000 being raised for the worthy cause.

Looks like everyone had a fun day in the name of a worthy cause. Next time you're posting, it would be great to focus on how the school's efforts are improving active transport outcomes. Take some of that energy from the lap-a-thon and put it into the journey to school :)
