Ride2School Day fun at APS

Ah Albany, how we love your unpredictable weather patterns. But how about next year, could we PLEASE have a semi-decent day for Ride2School Day for a change?? Despite the rain and very blustery conditions, there were still more than 70 keen riders at Albany Primary School on Friday morning, which was fabulous. Our Your Move team handed out free fruit, and all riders went into the draw for a couple of great prizes. The YM student team did a fantastic job at their first assembly to thank all the riders and draw out the two prize winners. And to top off a great day - it was free dress for the whole school, in return for a gold coin donation for the World Bicycle Fund! Thanks to our generous community we have donated $425 to that worthy cause. Thanks everyone for their support of a fabulous day!

Those bike parking photos are really impressive - reminds be of a photo I took years ago of the bike parking at a train station in the Netherlands! Well done to the crew at Albany PS and especially the 70 riders who braved the predictably unpredictable weather.
