Ride to Work Days with a difference

As part of our WA Bike Month celebrations, we had planned for a staff Ride to Work Day on Wednesday October 20th...but with this being the winter that keeps on giving, a forecast of rain and hail was enough to put a stop to those plans! In the end it was a flexible affair, with each participating worksite choosing a day that worked for them. Our North Road administration building, Albany Leisure and Aquatic Centre, and Albany Public Library teams all managed to keep dry (mostly!) on their respective rides to work. Coffee vouchers were on hand thanks to a WA Bike Month grant, with provisions for a rider’s breakfast provided by the City. Fantastic as always to see so many staff joining in and helping to create a positive riding culture!
