Izzy makes a splash for Term 4!

Students were greeted today by SDERA’s famous mascot ‘Izzy’ who had the important role of welcoming students back to school for an exciting term ahead.

Izzy and the Your Move Team worked together to promote being safe when completing active travel activities around the local community and importantly on the daily commutes to school.

Some of the important messages from Izzy included:

  • Hold hands with an adult before you cross the road (for our younger students)
  • Stop! Look! Listen! Think! before you cross the road.
  • Buckle up, every time you go for a ride in the car.
  • Always wear a helmet when riding your bike or scooter.
  • Look both ways at each intersection and use crossings where possible.

I see you and the team at Lake Grace are right back into it Scott! Thanks for sharing Izzy in all his green glory - I hope he didn't bang his head on your doorway! You have earned 60 points for your road safety promotion in term 4.
