KEMH BIKE CAGE EXTENSION

The Metropolitan Access and Parking Department (MAPD) Travelsmart division have extended the King Edward Memorial Hospital bike cage for cyclists.

The extension has created double the space to the A Block bike parking facility.

New bike racks were also installed that now hold more bikes and have proved to be such an improvement on the older U rail type.

A new bike pump was installed to enable staff to keep their bike tyres pumped and ready to cycle.

The promotion was held during Bike to Work Month on 21/10/20 and encouraged cyclists and those thinking of cycling to attend a morning tea.

Staff who registered to use the A Block facility on the day went in the draw for a $50.00 Rebel voucher.

We provided some Cancer Council information for staff to take which included drink bottles, recipes booklets and information on cycling to work.

During the morning many staff attended the display to complete a short survey on their current travel to the site, and to go in the draw for some great Your Move prizes!

James (Your Move)

Love those new bike parking facilities Lynette! It seems the launch was done with perfect timing - right in the middle of Bike Month. Excellent that you combined it with an informative morning tea too! Your new parking has earned you 80 points, your morning tea 40 points, and another 25 points for your promotional draw to encourage staff to try the new facilities. On top of that, you get a bonus 10 for sharing so many details of these activities. Have a wonderful evening!
