Tuart Hill Primary School Term Three Initiatives

Tuart Hill Primary School has fired into Term three by announcing that every Wednesday is Walk to School Wednesday! This has been met with great enthusiasm from both students and parents alike. I have had many parents mention to me how excited their kids are to participate, so much so, they are eagerly getting ready in the mornings and racing out the door.

Even the weather gods were shining on this week’s W2SW, displaying beautiful blue skies, without a frosty winter bite. Many kids walked, rode and scooted. We have also noticed an increase in the amount of kids riding/walking/scooting home as well.

Tomorrow we will launch our first Fuel Free Friday which we are all very excited about. With the aim to discourage driving, we will conduct FFF on the last Friday of every month.

It has been great to see so many happy faces and such overwhelming enthusiasm for the Your Move initiative!

What a term 3 you have to look forward to at Tuart Hill PS! Not just one regular active travel days, but two. Great to hear how the school community has embraced the idea. I have linked your story to the corresponding activity, and that has given you 90 points. As you have launched two campaigns I have also given you 20 'outstanding' points, plus a bonus 10 for the 'good read' factor. Make sure you give us an update each term to share the joy and maximise your points!
