Today WGPS students and staff took part in the National Walk Safely to School Day! Teachers left school early to arrive at 2 meeting points close to school so they could walk safely with students. Over 200 students took part and our Captains and Councillors nearly ran out of tokens and stickers, which were given out to walkers, safe scooters and riders outside the school gates. What a great job by both students and staff in wet conditions!

Great photo Luke - showing the students defying the weather to achieve all those benefits available from active travel 😊. Your students have earned WGPS 40 points for participating in NWS2SD and you have earned another 5 for including those excellent participation numbers in your story. Have a lovely weekend!
