Thanks to the City of Melville, MU gained a grant for 2 bike-related events in 2021. Due to no registrations for one of the planned workshops, Melville's grants team allowed us to roll the funding over to this year so we could hold another bike safety check and simple repairs workshop with People on Bicycles, plus with our points through the YM programme we can host a 'Speed Date a Bicycle' workshop, also offered by PoB. These 2 activities tie into a whole calendar of sustainability- themed events organised in partnership with the MU Guild of Students. Great fun to be had- we're looking forward to welcoming Melville residents onto campus as well as staff and student participation.

Hi Leah - thanks for sharing your plans for the upcoming workshops (you have earned 15 points for the planning sessions leading up to this, plus 10 points for sharing the details). That is good news that City of Melville allowed you to roll over the grant (such nice people at the council 😁!). It is also interesting to hear to that you are targeting the local community , as well as staff and students - I look forward to hearing how it all goes.
