We conducted our hands up survey in March. We had 31% decrease in walking and all other areas went up. Driving to school only went up 5% but we really would have preferred a decrease in that area. The results of this survey are worse than both surveys done last year. My team and I will be working on ways to rectify this.
We are planning to conduct a survey on Ride2School Day and it will be interesting to see what the results of that will be.

Hmmm, it is interesting that cycling and walking went in such different directions 🤔. But a 5% increase in car use is not so dad - with the new cohorts coming through and people falling out of good habits over summer. Regardless, I have no doubts that the team will rectify things in a jiffy 😊. You earned 50 points when you submitted these results and now another 10 points for your reflections here.

I also wonder how much the weather plays in this result - it was around high 30s during that week. Too hot to be outside in my opinion!

🔥Yes - I think it can be a big factor.
