Bike Club Lunch Time Event (2)

We held a bonus lunch time bike club last week on the same day as year 4 bike ed. Having all the year 4's with bikes at school meant that more students from this cohort were involved than normal which was great to see. It also happened to be that they hear 6's were away on this day so the year 4's pretty well had their run of the jumps and were able to pick and choose how the jumps were set up to suit them.

They had a great time doing this and I'd be hoping to see more of these kids back for future bike clubs this term. It is important that we build the capacity of our younger students to maintain a strong bike culture at APS and events like this really help to do that.

Hey Paul - sounds like a brilliant day for your year 4's! Yippee! 🚲⭐ Building an AT and riding culture, helps sustain momentum! You have gained 15 points for your extra AT activity and 10 for you story - alas the photo did not download - but I can imagine lots of smiles! 😊😊😊

Hi Paul - we have just upgraded your points a bit, as these regular lunchtime bike events that you have earn you 50 points each term as we consider them an 'Active Travel Rewards Campaign'. Have a lovely weekend 🙂.
