National Ride To School Day

Kirrily Atkins
Eden Hill Primary School

The Your Move Team worked hard to promote National Ride to School Day by displaying posters around the school, placing reminders on the school's social media page, talking about it at assembly and promoting it over the school PA system in the week prior.

This year, Eden Hill had 7 classes with 50% or more students actively travelling to school, and another 3 with just under 50%. 10 classes out of 16 with almost 50% of students travelling actively is great for our school!

We have found that the early years have the highest number of students travelling to school by car. Of course, this is due to their young age and the fact that many of our families have both parents working.

We will continue to find ways to promote active travel within our school community!

What a great result with so many students using AT on the day. Yes family timetables are always a bit of a challenge and I think we all breathe a sigh of relief (albeit with a mix of excitement and some trepidation 😲) when our kids set off on their first independent trips! You have earned 40 points for your big day, 10 points for your promos and 15 points for your analysis of the results of the day. Have a super break Kirrily 🐰🐰🐰.
