Bike Competition

Here at JCCA Term 1 is all about the bikes..... Our first order of business was to find candidates for our Mountain Bike excursion that we were awarded through the grants last year.

We decided that our Roots and Shoots members would get a place but still we had 10 free spaces to fill.

We came up with the bike competition idea. This way promoting active travel at the same time as offering students an opportunity. Students had the potential to gain entry into a raffle everyday they rode their bike to school in week 3 meaning they could end up with 5 entries.

Our champions Donna and Chloe manned the bike racks every afternoon of Week 3 taking names of those who rode their bike to school.

This raffle was advertised through our intranet system SEQTA. The winners will be selected through a random name picker and be invited to spend a day in the Kalamunda hills with us :)
