On the 30th of July, Lathlain Primary students from Years 3 to 6 had their cross-country run.

Overall, the day was a great success with strong finishes from all years, and the support made it all happen. It is great to see an increasing number of students participate in this fabulous event. Lots of the students do running club before school.

Well done to all the participants and a big thank you to all the parents/guardians who lent a hand on the day, and to our teachers and their amazing organization skills, taking the students to and from the oval.

A special congratulations to the Year 3 racers for completing their very first cross country.

The top 5 finishers from each race went to interschool to compete against our neighbouring students and Lathlain Primary School came 2nd overall, which is a fantastic result.

Hi Jenny and all at Lathlain PS. Your Cross Country day looks like a great success - excellent that you came in 2nd at the interschool event. At Your Move we do love physical activity, but unfortunately we can only give YM activity points where a story directly relates to active transport to and from school. Some schools achieve this at related events such as this by combining it with a walk/ride to school day event which also has the bonus of helping kids warm up their muscles!
